1. Pure cotton: a classic choice for breathable and skin-friendly
Pure cotton is the most common fabric for home clothes, accounting for about 60% (data from the China Textile Association in 2022). Its advantages are strong moisture absorption (standard regain 8.5%) and good breathability, suitable for all seasons. However, pure cotton is easy to wrinkle and has a shrinkage rate of about 3%-5%. It is recommended to choose pre-shrunk cotton pajamas. In summer, high-count cotton of 40-60 counts can be selected, and thickened models with sanding technology are recommended in winter. The water temperature should not exceed 40℃ when washing, and avoiding exposure to the sun can prolong the life.

2. Silk: a high-end and luxurious sleeping experience
Silk (usually refers to 6A grade mulberry silk) is a natural protein fiber with a thermal conductivity of only 0.042W/m·K (data from "Textile Materials Science"), suitable for sensitive skin and summer use. Heavy silk pajamas above 19 momme have good drape, but the price is usually in the range of 800-2000 yuan. Note: Only hand washable and alkaline detergents are prohibited. Drying in the shade can maintain the gloss.

III. Functional new fabrics

1. Modal: Lenzing's patented material, 50% more hygroscopic than cotton, suitable for making close-fitting home clothes, but easy to deform, it is recommended to choose a blended version (such as 95% cotton + 5% modal).

2. Bamboo fiber: It has natural antibacterial properties (antibacterial rate ≥ 70%, GB/T 20944 standard), and its cool feeling makes it a popular choice in summer, but its softness will decrease after multiple washings.

3. Desmooth: A warm fabric developed in Germany, with a heat storage index of 0.28clo (warmth unit), suitable for winter, but some polyester fibers may cause static electricity.

4. Purchase suggestions and maintenance guide
• For sensitive skin, choose undyed organic cotton or silk

• Flannel with a weight of more than 300g/m² is recommended in winter, and icy materials with a weight of less than 120g/m² are recommended in summer

• Turn inside out and use a laundry bag when washing in a machine, and the drying temperature should not exceed 60℃

• Avoid using softener (it will clog the fiber pores)
